Cochlea

The Cochlea in itself is a complicated organ. It shaped like a snail and is divided into three hollow chambers.  Each chamber is filled with liquid. It's also filled with tiny hairlike fibres which are sensers.

Its purpose is to take the viberations and turn them into electircal signal known as "action potentials." This is done by the hairlike fibres in it.

Oval Window

Your Oval Window is a window to the Cochlea. It's oval shaped and is at the head of the Cochlea.

Its purpose is to transmit the viberations of the Stapes to the Cochlea.

 Cochlear Nerve

The Cochlear Nerve actually consists of eight nerves that run from the Cochlea to the Brain.

Its purpose is to transmit the electric signals from the Cochlea to the Brain.

Round Window

The Round Window is a window between the Middle Ear and the Inner Ear. It's a hole covered by a membrane.

Its purpose is much like that of the Eustachian Tube. It keeps the pressure inside the Cochlea the same as the outside.
